Turning 50 Pages of PDFs into a 1-Click Web App

The client managed pump pricing using a massive 50+ page PDF catalog.
Every quote required dissecting complex SKUs, manually finding each matching part, and double-checking calculations — a process that was slow, error-prone, and frustrating for both the sales team and customers.

The Challenge

  • SKUs had multiple attributes and price dependencies

  • Data was buried inside static PDFs

  • Sales reps had to manually rebuild every quote

  • Errors were common — and sometimes unnoticed

  • No easy way to share or update pricing across the company

The Solution

I built The Pricer, a custom web app connected to Google Sheets as its database and pricing engine.

The system automatically:

  • Decodes complex SKUs into component parts

  • Fetches accurate, real-time prices from Google Sheets

  • Calculates totals instantly

  • Allows users (sales reps, admins, or even customers with access keys) to build their own quotes

  • Exports professional PDF and Excel versions instantly

All pricing logic, dependencies, and adjustments are managed in Sheets — so the client can update data anytime without touching the code.
